Weekend concludes with a special Nike Missile Site Open House on Monday, November 11th. Entrance fees to Everglades National Park will be waived during the entire Veterans' Day weekend. You can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities in the nearly 1.5 million acres of this unique National Park. There is so much to do, from Ranger guided walks, boat tours, tram tours, miles of hiking trails or bring your own bicycle and explore. The park will host an Open House at the Historic Nike Mssile Site from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Veterans' Day, November 11th. Visitors can enjoy a tour of this important historical Missile Site built in the middle of a national park shortly after the Cuban Missile Crisis and view a 40 foot Nike Hercules Missle.
